Union Profile
The United Teachers of Pasadena (UTP), is an affiliate of the California Teachers Association and the National Education Association, and is the exclusive bargaining unit for the teachers of the Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD). As the exclusive bargaining unit, the UTP is responsible for negotiating the collective bargaining agreement between the UTP and the PUSD.
The United Teachers of Pasadena is situated in the San Gabriel Valley city of Pasadena, California. The UTP represents the best interests of our trained educators to promote the well-being of students, teachers and the community of the Pasadena Unified School District. We proudly serve the communities of Altadena, Pasadena and Sierra Madre.
Our Mission
The United Teachers of Pasadena (UTP) strives to empower its members so that they may provide the best conducive educational environment for the students of the Pasadena Unified School District. The UTP endeavors to raise the standards of the teaching profession, secure competitive salaries and benefits, better the working environment, strengthen the contract, and improve communications between unit members and the PUSD administration.
